The SYR Advanced Pro Heat Pump Filter from Advanced Water Company is a German-engineered solution designed for both boiler and heat pump systems. Built for precision and durability, it ensures cleaner water circulation, greater energy efficiency, and long-term peace of mind.

Following the Future Homes Standard (FHS) consultation in 2024, a record 170,000 certified renewable installations were completed in the first half of 2025. With new system costs ranging from around £5,000 to  £16,000, protecting these investments is vital.

Corrosion can create magnetite and ferrous debris, leading to inefficient water flow and component damage. To address this, SYR has developed a filter that delivers advanced protection while keeping maintenance simple and efficient.

The SYR Advanced Pro Heat Pump Filter offers dual-action protection, capturing both magnetic debris and non-metallic particles. The magnetic element traps all ferrous debris, even at high flow rates, while the integral 100-micron mesh strainer catches any additional non-ferrous material. This helps to safeguard heat pumps and boiler systems against both types of damage.

The SYR Advanced Pro Heat Pump Filter has also been designed to be one of the quickest filters on the market to clean and maintain. The filter contains a backwash function that allows installers to service it without dismantling it, all in under two minutes.

Installers simply loosen the tamper-proof magnetic element, twist the top cap, and the system flow reverses to purge the debris through the drain port. The integral bypass ensures that if a blockage in the strainer occurs, the system’s circulation is maintained until a professional service can be performed. Plus, a 360° rotatable flange gives installers total flexibility for any installation.

The filter comes with 28mm compression connections and a 22mm reducing set, making it adaptable across boilers and heat pumps.

The SYR Advanced Pro Heat Pump Filter is available with or without a specially designed jacket that reduces heat loss and maximises system efficiency.
